Accreditation Pathway - this accredited assessment results in a part-qualification in project management.
The Accreditation Pathway is open to eligible candidates who have completed 8 training sessions, in line with Modules 1 and 2 of our BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management, through an in-house training program delivered by Elemental Projects.
It involves completing two Module Assessments, each containing the following assessment tasks:
Project management documents developed during training, based on the case study project
Project management documents developed before or after training, based on one or more work-based projects
Knowledge questions based on concepts explored during training
The gamified project management simulation undertaken during training
Successful completion of both Module Assessments results in a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in the following 6 units of competency:
Module 1 Assessment
BSBPMG540 – Manage project integration
BSBPMG530 – Manage project scope
Module 2 Assessment
BSBPMG531 – Manage project time
BSBPMG532 – Manage project quality
BSBPMG533 – Manage project cost
BSBPMG536 – Manage project risk
To be eligible to enrol in the part-qualification, you must:
Have completed (or caught up on the recordings of) all 8 training sessions in Modules 1 and 2, delivered in-house by Elemental Projects
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Show that you have the underpinning language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills needed to undertake this course.
Have at least 1-year experience managing projects across their entire lifecycle, or managing a component of a larger project, such as a work package or phase.
As a nationally accredited qualification, all course fees are GST exempt.
If after paying for this course, you are found to be ineligible, then your fees will be refunded minus a $200 administration fee.
How long do I have to complete the assessment?
You have 6 months from the date of your enrolment to complete both Module Assessments.
What support is available to help me complete the assessment?
Our Support Team is available weekdays as your first point of contact. If they can't answer your question, then they will forward your enquiry to your assessor who will respond directly to you.
How will I get feedback on my assessments?
Assessments are submitted, and results provided, through our secure Student Portal. Once you submit your assessment through the Student Portal, your assessor will provide results and written feedback within 10 days. If further work is required to pass the assessment, then you will have the opportunity to resubmit the assessment, taking into account your assessor's comments. If needed, further guidance and support may be provided by email, phone, or online meeting.
Can I use workplace examples from past projects for my assessment?
Yes, provided you substantially contributed to the documents (i.e. they represent your work); they are no more than 5 years old; and they are not classified (i.e. do not require any form of security clearance), then you may provide evidence from past projects in the work-based assessment tasks. Assessors and administrative staff who may have access the documents are bound by confidentiality agreements and all work-based evidence is deleted from our servers 6-months after course completion.
How much work is the assessment outside training sessions?
You should expect to spend approximately 30 hours outside of the training sessions completing the assessment tasks for both Module Assessments. This excludes work-based tasks which are expected to overlap with the performance of your standard duties in a project-based role, or which may be completed by providing examples from past projects.
